Full pansies

Today, pansies grow and grow full. Check on March 13th post for after and before.

My grandma

My dad had a chance to email and give me information about my grandma. It's the first time he emailed me with more details. Thank you.
I copy and paste this: Red letters are my words

I wanted to let you know about my trip to Michigan and my mom (my grandma). Thursday evening mom ate supper with Lisa (my aunt) and the boys (my cousins). She seemed in good spirits and felt fine. Corey walked her home and she told him that lately she was really missing dad and wanted to go see him but didn't want to leave her grandchildren. The next afternoon Lisa found her sitting at the kitchen table with her head resting on her hand like she was sleeping. Lisa thought she was sleeping and knocked on the door and called but she didn't respond so she had Craig kick in the door so they could get in. They called 911 and the police came but she had been dead for some time. The dogs were outside and she had a glass of milk with her so the said she probably got up early that morning to let the dogs out, got some milk, and set down at the table and fell asleep; then her heart just stopped. It was very peaceful and she didn't struggle or wasn't in pain because there was nothing messed up on the table and she looked like she had just gone to sleep. It was hard for us to lose mom but because it was so peaceful and she was ready it made it a lot easier. I wanted you to know this to make it easier for you also. Everyone understood that you couldn't come and it was ok so you shouldn't worry about it. Sam, the pastor at The Church of God (that's Christ, not God) that did the service for dad also did the service for mom. It was a good service and everybody said it helped them find peace. We had visiting hours from 10-8 on Tuesday. On Wednesday the service was at 11:00 and then everyone drove out to the gravesite and we had another short service there at 2:30. She is buried next to dad. Mom's with dad now so I know she is happy, but I also know she will miss you and her other grandchildren. I brought home a copy of the obituary and the card from the service for you. Also, the preacher may type up the service like he did for Dad and if so, Candy (my aunt) will bring a copy.

Meggie's nail removed

Took Meggie to the vet for removing nail that broke. She is doing well since her heart is still very strong and tumor on her chest hasn't changed much as last visit in May 2006.
When Meggie entered the building, she was so shaking. She was so good for checking with Dr Rudy. After we left, Meggie felt better and was walking happy since her nail removed. I thought she was going to take bandage, but I did take it out on the late afternoon.

Happy Birthday, Corey!

Happy 16th Birthday, Corey!

I know today is a rough day for you since we lost our Grandma. You were one of the closest grandchildren to Grandma as I was her first grandchild. So, it's difficult for us, too. To be thankful that you walked Grandma home and heard her last special words that she missed Grandpa and she didn't want to leave everyone. I'm sure you will never forget that moment. It amazed me what she said to you before she passed away at the same night. She probably wanted to say to you because you were the one of closest to her.
Hope you have a good birthday, today.

Hugs,

Jill

My Grandma

Tonight, I just found out that my grandma passed away in her bed last night. I was shocked, but I'm okay. Her heart just stopped. I haven't gone to Michigan in about 4 years. Her mind wasn't good as her health was good. She was 83 years old and was the last grandparent I had left.
That's interesting that my great grandma, who was my grandma's mother passed away in her bed with her heart stopped at her 80 years old when I was a baby. Maybe, 3 months old. My dad told me a long time ago when I was 13 years old while my grandma (my mom's mother) was sick. I will have to ask him if he remembers or not. He said that my great grandma loved me and talked about me.
Will try to keep you posted..

Donation for Autism Speaks

Have you heard of Ali Edwards? She is so awesome for her son and autism children over America. I met Ali at Atlanta Scrapbook Connection and got her signature last summer. What a great example she is! Anyway, she is on top of 10 top badges at Six Degree. Check on her blog; http://aliedwards.typepad.com/_a_/ if you interested in donating for Autism Speaks. The deadline will be March 31st. I encourage you to read her blog as she speaks about Autism Speaks and her passion in scrapbooking.

I will post some more updates from past days as I loaded pictures so I want to journal some before publish them.

Gave Meggie a bath

I was planning to give Meggie a bath after an appointment, but was tired and didn't feel good. So, I gave her a bath this morning.
Meggie is calm after taking a bath, but happy and love to dry towel. Ashley usually goes wild after bath.
I love this picture. I hope to take all of us somewhere where is a nature, maybe lake or waterfall over rock for pictures soon. When we do it, I will try to post some pictures. After that, I want to make enlargement picture for my wall.

Kids' art show

Max's karate class

I went to Max's karate class since the last time I was there was last August, I think. Anyway, it's so amazing to see how much Max improves mature since last time I saw him in the class. He pays attention to instructors as they say that he makes -A average. I'm impressed and proud of him. I'm sure he will focus in school as well and respect people better.
Max, keep it up and I'm so proud of you.
